15 February 2006 Club Meeting
Our first post election club meeting is upon us and it is an open meeting. The public, your adoring fans, will be present because we invite them to be there. I have 5 people coming who have never seen any of us perform. They're looking forward to a relaxing and entertaining evening.
They, the committee of proper magicians, say that "practice makes perfect." I know. You're mum told you that, too. She was just as right as they are. Go out and practice your best effects until you can do them standing up while sound asleep. What better way is there to impress our visitors than to make them feel as if they have witnessed genuine magic? Dress for your role at the meeting and perform as if you were doing it at the command of the Queen herself. You don't have to be a professional performer to look and act like one for our guests.
