Murray is in hospital

Conny had to take Murray to hospital a few days ago. He is still critically ill and is at Charlie Gardiners Hospital.

Magic Radio

I have known about MagicBroadcast.com for some time but never tried it. Finally, today, I got on to it and was pleasantly surprised. The broadcast is like a normal radio station but all topics are magic related. It is over the internet and is on 24/7.

15 March 2006 Meeting

We find ourselves meeting on the date for which Julius Caesar was warned to be careful. According to Shakespeare, the Ides of March was the day which meant the end of the all powerful ruler of the Roman Empire. Because of this, all of you are reminded not to bring your daggers with you to the meeting. There will be no assassinations at the club meeting. Brutus did Caesar in on this day in history but hopefully we've become a bit more civilized since then.

This month's meeting is a closed meeting. Only members or visiting magicians sponsored by e club member may attend. Read that sentence again. Visiting magicians may attend if sponsored by a member. That means all of the club's former members can be invited by a current member. What a great way to increase our membership and build strength in our club! Invite a former member and invite him to participate in club functions.

We are having a special Magic Rummage Sale this month. Only members may sell but members and visiting magicians sponsored by a member may buy. The lack of a magic shop in Perth may cause an eyebrow or two to raise a notch when former members hear about that. Of course, if you want to keep it all to yourself, mum's the word.

The Magic Rummage sale will start after the end of the business meeting. Sellers may set up their goods for sale but please refrain from any selling until the gavel drops at the end of the meeing. This will virtually assure a very fast meeting.

I've also not scheduled any performance time this month but that doesn't mean we can't have a any performances. If you do want to perform, see me before the start of the business meeting. I am fairly certain that the focus of attention will be the Magic Rummage Sale rather than the stage up front so unless you just have to get that absolutely perfect performance out there for scrutiny, go and spend some money and save that performance for the next open meeting.
